View videoclips of women sharing their personal stories of why they chose abortion and what they remember of their abortions.
Nina Burke (separate video clip, right side of this link), gives a short (approx 3 min) account of why she chose abortion, and all she remembers of the event and following the event, including her challenges with post abortion syndrome.
"This campaign creates a safe place for women to break their silence about the pain of abortion. It is an honor to speak the truth and let others know they're not alone."
Actress Jennifer O'Neill

Access to Legal Abortion Isn't Saving Women's Lives

Many abortion advocates have long argued that abortion is necessary to protect the health and safety of women, since many would otherwise seek unsafe abortions. But an analysis of data from a new report published by the World Economic Forum has found that countries that permit abortion don't have lower maternal death rates.
In fact, countries with the most restrictive abortion laws also had the lowest maternal death rates, while countries with more permissive laws tended to have higher maternal death rates.
In Africa, the country with the lowest maternal death rate (15 per 100,000) is Mauritius, which also has the toughest laws against abortion. The African country with the most liberal abortion laws, South Africa, has a maternal death rate of 400 per 100,000 births.
In Asia, Nepal has no restrictions on abortion and also has one of the world's highest mortality rates (830 per 100,000) while Sri Lanka had the lowest rates in Asia (58 per 100,000) and one of the strictest abortion bans in the world.
In South America,Chile has constitutional protection for the unborn and a death rate of 16 per 100,000. The highest maternal death rate (430 per 100,000) was found in Guyana, which has almost unrestricted abortion.

Do Some Women Need Protection During Pregnancy? Is Abortion Always Freely Chosen?

We are told that abortion is a choice.
Ironically, those speaking with post-abortive women hear a different truth. Oftentimes women will tell us, "I didn't have a choice." The majority of these women will explain they had their abortion "for" someone else...for their parents (so they wouldn't be disappointed), for their boyfriend (because he told them to), etc. Occasionally, if a woman is raped or if she conceived a child from a close family member, she may not have a choice at all. She may be coerced to have an abortion, or worse, she may be murdered.
What's that about?
Click on "Read More" and learn the sad, usually underreported truths in which pregnant women are oftentimes victims.
Not only may abortion be chosen for them (without their own consent), but homicide may occur to women who are pregnant. (Remember Laci Peterson who was pregnant and killed by her husband Chrismas Eve, 2002?)
True love gives. It does not destroy or take back or deliberately injure.
Some persons suffer from unhealthy thinking styles or have an emotional illness. The father of an unborn child who suffers from distorted thinking styles may perceive the unborn child as a threat to their own well-being. If the father of your unborn child is an unstable person, or if your relationship is one with a history of abuse, please contact your local womens' shelter. Leave. Now.
(If you are interested in more sources about this reality, simply do a search, such as: What is the leading cause of death for pregnant women? You will find many articles from various sources).

Are college students given an actual choice?

Pregnant College Students Aren't Made Aware of
Available Resources, Survey Finds
Student: "It Sure Doesn't Feel Like I Have Much of A Choice"
A survey released by Feminists for Life of America has found that many college students who become pregnant are unaware of resources available to them or don't have access to good resources.
FFL president Serrin Foster noted in a news release that when pregnant students look for resources, "either they can't find them or the resources are inadequate or expensive." One pregnant student noted that without resources, "it sure doesn't feel like I have much of a choice."
The survey, Perception is Reality, is part of an ongoing effort by FFL to monitor and establish resources for pregnant students on college campuses. Stories from students have shown that students who become pregnant are often immediately referred for an abortion by campus health center officials and are not given any information about other options or resources.
Surveys have found that lack of resources or support, and pressure and coercion from others, are leading factors for abortion. A survey of women in post-abortion support groups found that more than 80 percent said they would have continued the pregnancy under better circumstances or with support from others and 64 percent felt forced into abortion due to their circumstances.
