We are told that abortion is a choice.

Ironically, those speaking with post-abortive women hear a different truth.  Oftentimes women will tell us, "I didn't have a choice."  The majority of these women will explain they had their abortion "for" someone else...for their parents (so they wouldn't be disappointed), for their boyfriend (because he told them to), etc.  Occasionally, if a woman is raped or if she conceived a child from a close family member, she may not have a choice at all.  She may be coerced to have an abortion, or worse, she may be murdered.

Not only may abortion be chosen for them (without their own consent), but homicide may occur to women who are pregnant.  (Remember Laci Peterson who was pregnant and killed by her husband Chrismas Eve, 2002?)

True love gives.  It does not destroy or take back or deliberately injure. 

Some persons suffer from unhealthy thinking styles or have an emotional illness. The father of an unborn child who suffers from distorted thinking styles may perceive the unborn child as a threat to their own well-being.  If the father of your unborn child is an unstable person, or if your relationship is one with a  history of abuse, please contact your local womens' shelter.  Leave.  Now.

We are so sorry for the trauma you (or someone close to you) have experienced.   Abortion may seem to be the "only option" for the small percentage of rape and incest sufferers who become pregnant.  Many well-meaning people...and that might include yourself as well!--are somehow imagining that an abortion will magically "erase" the rape itself.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.  

Please take some time to see if abortion is your "best solution", and whether it's really the "best" option for you.
